New Multiphase CP and DP 1000 MPa strength level grades for improved performance after hot forming [PDF]
Pure martensitic steels have after hot forming limited performance in terms of rest ductility which limits the application in crash relevant parts. New steel grades were designed in the EU project HOTFORM including the corresponding process routes. These

Experimental investigation on mean crushing stress characterization of carbon–epoxy plies under compressive crushing mode [PDF]
A challenge in numerical simulation of crashworthiness study is to be able to predict the crush damage modes, their evolution during crushing and the energy absorption in any composite structure from elementary material characterisation data.

Crashworthiness of Magnesium Sheet Structures [PDF]
A hollow rectangular profile, as an example of a typical structural component made of magnesium alloy sheets has been built, tested and evaluated in order to assess its behaviour during axial crushing. The profiles were joined from plane sheets of AZ31 and ZE10, respectively, by laser beam welding and were then tested in compression.
