THE ASSESSMENT OF CREASE-RESISTANCE AND CREASE-RECOVERY

Journal of the Textile Institute Proceedings, 1962
A description is given of a new method for the assessment of the creasing properties of fabrics. In this crease test, the fabrics are creased in a reproducible, non-random way. The creased fabrics are ranked by subjective evaluation under standardised conditions. Photographic standards may be of use in this judgement.

The Mechanics of Creasing and Crease Recovery

Textile Research Journal, 1968
The "blocking friction" model by Grosberg et al. has been applied to experimental results of loop bending recovery by Stuart et al. The failure is demonstrated and ex plained qualitatively. Then the "continuous" frictional-plasto-elastic model by Olofsson is applied together with a hypothesis of "form conservation" whose general importance is further ...

Inframammary Crease Ligament

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1995
This study was designed to clarify and define the anatomic components of the inframammary crease in the female breast. Thirteen blunt dissections of the female breast were performed in cadavers and one dissection was performed in a living patient undergoing mastectomy. During the course of these dissections, a ligament was identified.

Carcinoma of the Inframammary Crease

Archives of Dermatology, 1978
Carcinoma of the inframammary crease is an uncommon but distinctive manifestation of carcinoma of the breast. This report of a case illustrates the clinical and histophathologic features. The patient's tumor was exophytic and fissured, and the initial biopsy specimen mimicked basal cell epithelioma.

Variation in Palmar Creases

Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1970
Unusual palmar flexion creases have been reported in a number of clinical syndromes including Down's syndrome, 1 trisomy D, 2 cri-du-chat, 3 and prenatal rubella. 4 These reports have awakened the interest of medical practitioners in a field formerly the province of chiromancers and gypsies.

Curvature and Creases: A Primer on Paper

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1976
This paper presents fundamental results about how zero-curvature (paper) surfaces behave near creases and apices of cones. These entities are natural generalizations of the edges and vertices of piecewise-planar surfaces. Consequently, paper surfaces may furnish a richer and yet still tractable class of surfaces for computer-aided design and computer ...
