Engineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

Brain and Liver Dual‐Targeting Oridonin Nanoparticles to Enhance Aβ Clearance for Alzheimer's Disease Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a nanoparticle named OAF, which simultaneously targeted to both the brain and liver via the transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) receptor, promoting lipoprotein receptor‐related protein 1 (LRP1) expression to enhance amyloid‐beta (Aβ) clearance. In AD mice model, OAF significantly reduced Aβ deposition and cognitive impairment, while a mitigating

THERMO-MECHANICAL COUPLING BETWEEN THE FLOW OF STEAM AND DEFORMATION OF THE VALVE DURING START-UP OF THE 200MW TURBINE

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2001
The lifetime estimation of power station structures and components, subjected to fatigue loading, is essential for determining the moment of repair or replacement. Therefore the degradation behaviour and damage development within material should be very

Separation of the strain components for use in strainrange partitioning [PDF]

open access: yes
Two methods are presented for separating the inelastic strain components of a complex hysteresis loop so that strainrange partitioning formulas can be applied to accurately determine cyclic life at elevated temperatures.

Tracking of [14C]Polystyrene Nanoplastics in Pregnant Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates [14C]polystyrene nanoplastic ([14C]PS) translocation in late‐stage pregnant mice after intranasal (0.5 mg of [14C]PS on GD12, GD14, and GD16, n = 6) and intravenous administration (1.5 mg of [14C]PS on GD16, n = 6). 14C‐radiolabel allows quantitative tracking of unmodified polystyrene nanoplastics.

The strainrange partitioning behavior of an advanced gas turbine disk alloy, AF2-1DA [PDF]

open access: yes
The low-cycle, creep-fatigue characteristics of the advanced gas turbine disk alloy, AF2-1DA have been determined at 1400 F and are presented in terms of the method of strainrange partitioning (SRP).

Life prediction modeling based on strainrange partitioning [PDF]

open access: yes
Strainrange partitioning (SRP) is an integrated low-cycle-fatigue life predicting system. It was created specifically for calculating cyclic crack initiation life under severe high-temperature fatigue conditions.
