Creep Rupture Behavior of Polyacetal
KOBUNSHI RONBUNSHU, 2004 ポリアセタールの引張クリープ破壊特性を80℃で測定し, ホモポリマーとコポリマーを比較しそのメカニズムを考察した. クリープ破壊機構はクリープ荷重と破壊寿命の相関よりZhurkovの式を用いて活性化体積 (υc) を算出し, 以下のことが明らかになった. (1) ポリアセタールのυcは分子量とともに大きくなる. (2) ホモポリマーに比してコポリマーのυcは大きくコボリマーの方が破壊寿命の荷重依存性が大きいことに対応する. また, 破断面の電子顕微鏡観察からクリープの破壊起点は延性挙動であった. そのため, υcの値を引張変形挙動における引張速度と降伏強度の関係からEyringの式を使って算出した活性化体積 (υy) と比較した. 各材料のυcとυyは同じオーダーの値を示し, ほぼ, υc=1.6υ

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
