Damage Mechanics in Composites, 1994
Abstract The objective of this paper is the inquiry into the high temperature rupture of polymers. The inquiry is of qualitative nature with little pretense in regard to numerical accuracy and fit of some set of experimental data. Instead the paper addresses some of the fundamental issues of the high temperature failure of polymer ...

On rupture attributable to creep
Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics, 1973The results of creep rupture tests carried out in a plane-stressed state are presented; the experiments confirm the validity of an earlier energy approach as regards the time to rupture under creep conditions [1],

Thermodynamics of creep rupture
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1984AbstractAn earlier discussion of the entropy contributions to the well‐known Zhurkov relationship for creep rupture is developed from a more rigorous basis. It is demonstrated that well‐behaved Zhurkov materials (which follow his relationship closely) undergo quasistatic rupture (thermodynamically reversible).

Abstract This data set contains the results of uniaxial creep rupture tests for a wide range of aluminum casting alloys conducted at temperatures from 100 to 315 deg C. In most cases, tests were made of several lots of material of each alloy and temper, the results were analyzed, and the averages were normalized to the room-temperature ...
