On Creep Rupture of Rectangular Plates

ZAMM, 2002
Summary: The paper deals with the evaluation of life-time of creeping plates. In particular, the boundary conditions and effects of equivalent stress are studied. Both, the role of failure mechanism modes governed by maximum principal stress and effective stress, as well as the effect of compressive stress are evaluated. The analysis covers two periods

On the analysis of creep stability and rupture

Computers & Structures, 1983
Abstract The analysis of problems involving creep material failure and creep buckling is considered. Creep buckling analyses are presented for some columns. A finite element creep rupture analysis of a rotating disc is performed and the results are compared with other solutions.

Creep rupture assessment by a robust creep data interpolation using the Linear Matching Method [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mechanics, A/Solids, 2015
The accurate assessment of creep rupture limit is an important issue for industrial components under combined action of cyclic thermal and mechanical loading.

Creep and creep-rupture of Alloy 617

Nuclear Engineering and Design, 2018
Abstract The Ni-Cr-Mo-Co material Alloy 617 is the leading candidate for VHTR intermediate heat exchangers operating above 750 °C. Time-dependent properties are an important consideration in qualifying the alloy for construction of nuclear components.
