Effect of Stress–Strength Ratio on Creep Property of Sodium Silicate–Based Alkali-Activated Slag Concrete

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Alkali-activated materials have attracted increasing interest owing to their excellent properties and environmental protection. However, there have been few studies on their creep properties.

Creep-fatigue life assessment of cruciform weldments using the linear matching method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a creep-fatigue life assessment of a cruciform weldment made of the steel AISI type 316N(L) and subjected to reversed bending and cyclic dwells at 550C using the Linear Matching Method (LMM) and considering different weld zones.

Influence of constitutive model on calculation results of creep deformation response of notched specimen of GH4169 alloy

open access: yesJournal of Aeronautical Materials, 2021
In view of the creep deformation failure of areo-engine high temperature components, the elastoplastic and creep deformation response of GH4169 alloy smooth and notched plate specimens at 650 ℃ is calculated using elastoplastic coupled creep constitutive

Unloading Creep Characteristics of Frozen Clay Subjected to Long-Term High-Pressure K0 Consolidation before Freezing

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
Artificial ground freezing has been widely applied in the construction of vertical shafts in deep and thick alluvia. As an important factor, the in situ creep behavior of deep, frozen soil affects the mechanical properties of frozen walls and the safety ...

Microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg–3.0Nd–0.4Zn–0.4Zr magnesium alloy

open access: yesJournal of Magnesium and Alloys, 2014
Mg–3.0Nd–0.4Zn–0.4Zr magnesium alloy were prepared by cast-extruding and chip-extruding. Microstructure, tensile and creep properties of the alloy were investigated.

Creep Strength of Turbine Discs

open access: yesTransactions of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, 1948

Creep motion of a domain wall in the two-dimensional random-field Ising model with a driving field

open access: yes, 2012
With Monte Carlo simulations, we study the creep motion of a domain wall in the two-dimensional random-field Ising model with a driving field. We observe the nonlinear fieldvelocity relation, and determine the creep exponent {\mu}. To further investigate

Creep motion of an elastic string in a random potential

open access: yes, 2004
We study the creep motion of an elastic string in a two dimensional pinning landscape by Langevin dynamics simulations. We find that the Velocity-Force characteristics are well described by the creep formula predicted from phenomenological scaling ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...
