Rapid and Ultra‐Sensitive SARS‐CoV‐2 Subgenomic RNA Detection Using Single‐Molecule With a Large Transistor‐SiMoT Bioelectronic Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The single‐molecule with a large transistor‐SiMoT is proposed for the detection of the subgenomic RNA of SARS‐CoV‐2, achieving a diagnostic sensitivity of 98.0% and a specificity of 87.8%. The SiMoT technology, currently at TRL‐5, is suitable for point‐of‐care settings and delivers the result to the end user in 30 min.

Electronic Nanomaterials for Plants: A Review on Current Advances and Future Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Global food security faces mounting challenges from climate change and rapid population growth. This review highlights the pivotal role of electronic nanomaterials–including metals, metal oxides, and carbon‐based structures–in enhancing plant photosynthesis, nutrient uptake, and stress resilience. Furthermore, it explores how emerging platforms such as

The tau isoform 1N4R confers vulnerability of MAPT knockout human iPSC‐derived neurons to amyloid beta and phosphorylated tau‐induced neuronal dysfunction

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, EarlyView.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Human tau protein, composed of six brain‐specific isoforms, is a major driver of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The role of its isoforms however remains unclear and human AD models are scarce. METHODS We generated human MAPT– (tau–) knockout (KO) induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) using CRISPR/Cas9, differentiated these into ...

A new CRISPR‐mediated Apc knockout allele leads to pyloric gland adenoma‐like gastric polyps in mice with C57BL/6;FVB/N mixed background

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
The exon 16 of the mouse Apc gene was targeted with CRISPR/Cas9 system and a novel Apc knockout mouse model was generated by creating a frameshift mutation at codon 750 (ApcΔ750). The polyp number, polyp distribution and the overall survival of mice carrying the ApcΔ750 allele significantly differs between the F8‐FVB‐ApcΔ750 and F4‐B6;FVB‐ApcΔ750 mouse

Graphene Oxide‐Based Gene Modulation in Preferential Elimination of Lung Cancer Cells in a 3D Tumor Microenvironment Model

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Chemically modified graphene oxide nanocarriers provide a targeted lung cancer gene therapy platform. In a 3D tumor microenvironment model, these nanocarriers deliver therapeutic genes, regulate immune markers, and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. Combined gene delivery enhances cancer cell elimination, demonstrating the potential of this approach for
