Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

Experimental Study of Cycle Characteristics on CO2 Hydrate Cool Storage System

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2018
The characteristics of system cycle and cool storage of CO2 Hydrate with an initial charge pressure of 3.5–4.0 MPa were investigated in the direct-contact type cool storage test bench. Based on the experimental data, the p-h diagram of the cycle and cool

Advancing State of Charge Management in Electric Vehicles With Machine Learning: A Technological Review

open access: yesIEEE Access
As the share of electric vehicles increases, electric vehicles are exposed to broader of driving conditions (e.g., extreme weather), which reduce the performance and driving ranges of electric vehicles below their nameplate rating.

Age‐Related Characteristics of SYT1‐Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorder

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives We describe the clinical manifestations and developmental abilities of individuals with SYT1‐associated neurodevelopmental disorder (Baker‐Gordon syndrome) from infancy to adulthood. We further describe the neuroradiological and electrophysiological characteristics of the condition at different ages, and explore the associations ...

Critical black holes in a large charge limit [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2018
The extended thermodynamics of Reissner–Nordström charged black holes in D-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime has a phase structure in the (T, p) plane that includes a line of first-order phase transitions ending in a second-order transition point. For each D[Formula: see text][Formula: see text]4, properties of the critical black hole at that point

MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL TREATMENT REDUCES THE RISK OF TREATMENT ESCALATION DUE TO VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS IN LIMITED CUTANEOUS SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS: EMULATION OF A TARGET TRIAL FROM ITALIAN RHEUMATOLOGY SOCIETY SPRING REGISTRY

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Constraints from accretion onto a Tangherlini–Reissner–Nordstrom black hole

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
We investigate spherically symmetric, steady state, adiabatic accretion onto a Tangherlini–Reissner–Nordstrom black hole in arbitrary dimensions by using D-dimensional general relativity. We obtain basic equations for accretion and determine analytically

A low-disorder Metal-Oxide-Silicon double quantum dot

open access: yes, 2018
One of the biggest challenges impeding the progress of Metal-Oxide-Silicon (MOS) quantum dot devices is the presence of disorder at the Si/SiO$_2$ interface which interferes with controllably confining single and few electrons.
