Inferring Fault Frictional and Reservoir Hydraulic Properties From Injection‐Induced Seismicity

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2018
Characterizing the rheological properties of faults and the evolution of fault friction during seismic slip are fundamental problems in geology and seismology.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Crack propagation mechanisms and stress evolution of floor under dynamic disturbance in deep coal mining

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2018
Inrush accidents are easily and frequently caused under high geostress and rising of dynamic disasters which induce crack propagation of rock mass in deep coal mining. So it is important to study the crack propagation mechanisms under dynamic disturbance.

Telomere Dynamics in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: A Critical Synthesis

open access: yesBiomedicines
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a mental disorder caused by exposure to traumatic stress, affects 5–10% of the world’s population. There is some evidence that PTSD is associated with accelerated cellular aging, leading to an increased risk of medical and neurodegenerative comorbidities.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Mathematical Modeling of Critical Condition for Dynamic Recrystallization

open access: yes, 2014
A new model is presented to describe the flow stress up to the peak of the stress-strain curves firstly. And then utilizing the second derivative of work hardening rate with respect to stress, an equation is derived to calculate the critical strain for ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Dynamic behavior and cumulative deformation analysis of ferronickel slag-clay mixtures under cyclic loading

open access: yesCase Studies in Construction Materials
Ferronickel slag, an industrial byproduct, shows potential as road subgrade filler after modification. However, its permanent deformation accumulation under cyclic traffic loads may cause rutting and cracking, compromising long-term performance. Existing
