Critical percentiles for equalizing growth [PDF]
This paper provides precise conditions under which incremental growth reduces inequality. Critical points are derived, above which incremental income increases inequality, and below which it decreases inequality. According to the Gini coefficient, the lower bound for this critical point is the median individual. Surprisingly, critical points associated

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

Sharp Trudinger-Moser inequalities with homogeneous weights
We investigate sharp Trudinger-Moser type inequalities with the homogeneous weight satisfying a natural curvature-dimension bound condition. Also we study the optimal versions of these inequalities with best constants on both finite and infinite ...

Multiple solutions for a class of fourth-order elliptic equations with critical growth
In this article, we study the semilinear biharmonic problem with a critical growth: Δ2u=μQ(x)∣u∣p−2u+V(x)∣u∣2**−2uinΩ,u=Δu=0on∂Ω,\left\{\begin{array}{ll}{\Delta }^{2}u=\mu Q\left(x){| u| }^{p-2}u+V\left(x){| u| }^{{2}^{* * }-2}u\hspace{1.0em}& \hspace{0 ...

TRPM8 levels determine tumor vulnerability to channel agonists
TRPM8 is a Ca2+ permissive channel. Regardless of the amount of its transcript, high levels of TRPM8 protein mark different tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung carcinomas. Targeting TRPM8 with channel agonists stimulates inward calcium currents followed by emptying of cytosolic Ca2+ stores in cancer cells.

Systematic profiling of cancer‐fibroblast interactions reveals drug combinations in ovarian cancer
Fibroblasts, cells in the tumor environment, support ovarian cancer cell growth and alter morphology and drug response. We used fibroblast and cancer cell co‐culture models to test 528 drugs and discovered new drugs for combination treatment. We showed that adding Vorinostat or Birinapant to standard chemotherapy may improve drug response, suggesting ...
