Vacuum‐deposited films of the plant‐derived molecule, Baicalein, form a self‐assembled bioelectret exhibiting spontaneous orientation polarization and a giant surface potential. Single‐Step Recovery of Water from Stable Crude Oil‐Water Emulsion Using Surface Engineered Hybrid Inorganic‐Polymer Membranes

Atomic layer deposition is used to conformally surface engineer polymeric membranes to fabricate inorganic–organic hybrid membranes. These membranes have exceptionally strong attraction toward water even in high oil containing emulsions, which leads to an extremely strong hydration layer at the interface.

Correlated Metal LaNiO3 as a p‐Type Transparent Conductor

p‐type transparent conducting oxides are needed to enable superstrate solar cell geometries with n‐type absorbers. The p‐type correlated metal LaNiO3 combines high optical transmission with low electrical resistivity and is compatible with a range of scalable deposition processes.
