COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Existence and concentration of semiclassical states for nonlinear Schrodinger equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2012
In this article, we study the semilinear Schrodinger equation $$ -epsilon^2Delta u+ u+ V(x)u=f(u),quad uin H^1(mathbb{R}^N), $$ where $Ngeq 2$ and $epsilon>0$ is a small parameter.

Critical points approaches to fourth-order elastic beam equations with variable coefficients having combined effects of concave and convex nonlinearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
This study investigates the theoretical and practical aspects of fourth-order elastic beam equations characterized by variable coefficients and influenced by combined nonlinearities.

On the Families of Hyperbolic Derivatives with the Quasi-L ̈owner Dynamics of Pre-Schwarzians [PDF]

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2016
The dynamics of the critical point set for the hyperbolic derivatives of the family of holomorphic functions in the unit disk with pre-Schwarzians satisfying the equation of the quasi-L wner type is studied.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Two Positive Solutions for Elliptic Differential Inclusions

open access: yesAppliedMath
The existence of two positive solutions for an elliptic differential inclusion is established, assuming that the nonlinear term is an upper semicontinuous set-valued mapping with compact convex values having subcritical growth.

Third-order gas-liquid phase transition and the nature of Andrews critical point

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2011
The main objective of this article is to study the nature of the Andrews critical point in the gas-liquid transition in a physical-vapor transport (PVT) system. A dynamical model, consistent with the van der Waals equation near the Andrews critical point,

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Single blow-up solutions for a slightly subcritical biharmonic equation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2006
We consider a biharmonic equation under the Navier boundary condition and with a nearly critical exponent (Pε): ∆2u=u9−ε, u>0 in Ω and u=∆u=0 on ∂Ω, where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in ℝ5, ε>0.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...
