RNF138‐Mediated Ubiquitination and Degradation of NS5 Restricts Tick‐Borne Encephalitis Virus Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Host‐specific compatibility between RNF138‐like proteins and flavivirus NS5 determines NS5 stability. Mammalian RNF138 but not arthropod homologs recognizes and induces conserved NS5/RdRp K48‐linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation, thereby restricting viral replication. Ectopic RNF138 in mice attenuates TBEV‐induced pathogenesis. (Created in

The Randomized CRM: An Approach to Overcoming the Long-Memory Property of the CRM [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Biopharmaceutical Statistics, 2017
The primary object of a phase I clinical trial is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD). Typically, the MTD is identified using a dose-escalation study, where initial subjects are treated at the lowest dose level and subsequent subjects are treated at progressively higher dose levels until the MTD is identified.

Long‐Term Follow Up of Two Patients With Variants in the Cluster 1031‐1159 of TRRAP Gene: Expanding the Phenotype of Developmental Delay With or Without Dysmorphic Facies and Autism

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The transformation/transcription domain‐associated protein (TRRAP) gene encodes a large multidomain protein, a member of the phosphatidylinositol 3‐kinase‐related kinase (PIKK) family. TRRAP is a component of the histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex, and it plays an important role in gene transcription, DNA repair, and cell‐cycle regulation.
