Water requirements of crops in north coastal Andhra

open access: yesMAUSAM, 1987
Knowing the area under each crop and their water requirements, it is possible to plan the water resources for storage and distribution from the reservoirs, ponds, lakes etc. Since most  of the north coastal Andhra regional rain fed area, it is essential to estimate the water requirement of the crop either to change the cropping pattern or to schedule ...

Study on crop water requirement of field crops under different climatic conditions of Madhya Pradesh

open access: yes, 2018
Improved and efficient irrigation water management through precise estimation of crop water requirement has a vital role to play in ensuring food security. However, the crop water requirement data of field crops are not locally available. In view of this,

Application of Dual Crop Coefficient Approach for Estimation of Crop Water Requirement for Summer Sesame using SIMDualKc Model

open access: yes, 2020
Dual crop coefficient approach was used to estimate the crop water requirement of summer sesame in South Gujarat Agro-climatic Zone of Gujarat state. Field experiment was conducted with drip and border irrigation systems during summer season of 2018 and ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Optimization study on diagnostic methods for winter wheat water stress using UAV-borne thermal infrared imagery

open access: yesAgricultural Water Management
To address the low estimation accuracy of the Crop Water Stress Index (CWSI) directly induced by imprecise extraction of plant canopy temperature (Tc) from thermal infrared (TIR) imagery, this study used UAV visible imagery of winter wheat under ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Determination of Crop Water Requirement and Crop Coefficient at Different Growth Stages of Tomato by Using Weighing Type Lysimeter in Raichur Region

open access: yes, 2023
The water requirement for any cropping system is important consideration for designing and managing irrigation systems. Water requirement of crops varies substantially over the growing season mainly due to variation in crop cover and climatic conditions.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Water footprint assessment of the Colombian cocoa production

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental, 2015
The main objective of the present research was to calculate the water footprint of the Colombian cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) production. The evaluation of crop water requirement and irrigation requirement were based on climate, soil and crop conditions in
