Physical characteristics of soil under different cropping and natural system on the plain of jars, Xieng Khouang province, Laos [PDF]
Conservation agriculture and direct seeding mulch-based cropping (DMC) systems greatly modify plant and soil interaction. Plants commonly provide energy that fuels biological processes and either directly or indirectly creates structure within soils ...

Long‐Term Elevated CO2 Improves Soil Health and Rice Yields in Paddy Fields
Combining the two longest‐running rice free‐air CO2 enrichment experiments with a global data synthesis, this study demonstrates that long‐term elevated CO2 consistently enhances soil health. In rice paddies, this improvement sustains the CO2 fertilization effect over decades.

Individual plant care in cropping systems [PDF]
Individual plant care cropping systems, embodied in precision farming, may lead to new opportunities in agricultural crop management. The objective of the project was to provide high accuracy seed position mapping of a field of sugar beet. An RTK GPS was

Morphine activates the excitatory cingulate cortex–intermediate rostrocaudal division of zona incerta (Cg‐ZIm) pathway to drive hyperlocomotion in mice. Inhibiting the Cg‐ZIm pathway attenuates both acute and chronic morphine‐induced hyperlocomotion, while its activation mimics morphine's motor effects.

The economic sustainability of cropping systems in Indian Punjab: A farmers' perspective [PDF]
Food for all continues to be a key issue, especially in the developing world where every fifth person is chronically undernourished. India, a fast growing developing country has also experienced serious food shortages for example in the mid 1960s. Punjab,

A carbon nanotube‐based biopesticide system (BioCNTs) enables efficient delivery and systemic movement of RNAi molecules to control major tomato viruses. By integrating shRNA and tRNA‐like structures (TLS) with BioCNTs, this green and scalable approach achieves long‐term silencing and high antiviral efficacy through simple foliar spraying.

Bio-economic evaluation of pasture-cropping, a novel system of integrating perennial pastures and crops on crop-livestock farms [PDF]
Pasture-cropping is a novel approach to increase the area of perennial crops in mixed sheep and cropping systems. It involves planting annual cereals directly into a living perennial pasture.

This study explores how iron and manganese oxides transform sewage sludge into plant biostimulants during composting. Non‐targeted identification reveals the main species of plant biostimulants. Metagenomic analysis reveals that 2‐line ferrihydrite specifically enriches microbial genes for biosynthesis, boosting plant‐growth promoters.
