Integrating Ultra-Wideband Technology Into V2X Systems for Enhanced Traffic Safety

open access: yesIEEE Access
Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication is a key technology for enhancing road safety, yet its effectiveness is often hindered by the positioning inaccuracies of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) in dense urban environments.

Cross-Domain Embedding for Vaadin Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Although the design goals of the browser were originally not at running applications or at displaying a number of small widgets on a single web page, today many web pages considerably benefit from being able to host small embedded applications as components.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

The Ubiquity of Cross-Domain Thinking in the Early Phase of the Creative Process

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2019
To what extent are creative processes in one domain (e.g., technology) affected by information from other domains (e.g., music)? While some studies of professional creators suggest that creative abilities are domain-specific, other studies suggest that ...

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

On Robust Cross Domain Alignment

open access: yesCoRR
The Gromov-Wasserstein (GW) distance is an effective measure of alignment between distributions supported on distinct ambient spaces. Calculating essentially the mutual departure from isometry, it has found vast usage in domain translation and network analysis. It has long been shown to be vulnerable to contamination in the underlying measures.
