Seismic Cross-Gradient Constrained 3D Inversion of Transient Electromagnetic Data
Abstract While 3D inversion of transient electromagnetic data enhances detection capabilities compared to 1D inversion, its spatial resolution remains comparatively low. To overcome these limitations, we propose a 3D transient electromagnetic inversion method incorporating seismic cross-gradient constraints.

Domain Generalization by Solving Jigsaw Puzzles
Human adaptability relies crucially on the ability to learn and merge knowledge both from supervised and unsupervised learning: the parents point out few important concepts, but then the children fill in the gaps on their own.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

SmallTalk: a novel small‐sized fusion tag for peptide expression and purification
The SmallTalk fusion tag allows for the efficient expression and purification of soluble recombinant proteins or peptides in Escherichia coli. Testing with SmallTalk‐GFP confirmed that the proteins were soluble and folded correctly, while SmallTalk‐Bin1b maintained its antimicrobial activity against various bacterial isolates. This streamlined workflow

A Multi-Component Phase Field Crystal Model for Structural Transformations in Metal Alloys
We present a new phase field crystal model for structural transformations in multi-component alloys. The formalism builds upon the two-point correlation kernel developed in Greenwood et al.

Naked cuticle is essential for Drosophila wing development beyond Wingless signaling
Naked cuticle (Nkd), a Wnt signaling inhibitor, assumes extensive roles in Drosophila wing development. Overexpressing Nkd causes smaller, crumpled wings, while also perturbing multiple signaling pathways and developmental genes. A specific region (R1S) is critical for Nkd's function as a signaling integrator, offering new insights for studying its ...

Cross-polarization of electromagnetic waves reflected by anisotropic gradient planar structures [PDF]
The results of calculating the moduli of the coefficients of the electromagnetic wave reflection matrix (EMW) at the boundary of an inhomogeneous anisotropic medium with torsion using the matrix form of the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) method are ...

Metformin mediates mitochondrial quality control in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) fibroblasts carrying mtDNA mutations. At therapeutic levels, metformin activates AMPK signaling to restore mitochondrial dynamics by promoting fusion and restraining fission, while preserving mitochondrial mass, enhancing autophagy/mitophagy and biogenesis ...
