The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Improved rotor position estimation in extended back-EMF based sensorless PM brushless AC drives with magnetic saliency [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
An improved extended back-EMF based sensorless control method is proposed for a brushless AC motor equipped with an interior permanent magnet rotor. It accounts for dq-axis cross-coupling magnetic saturation by introducing an apparent mutual winding ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Diarylethene-modified nucleotides for switching optical properties in DNA

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012
Diarylethenes were attached to the 5-position of 2’-deoxyuridine in order to yield three different photochromic nucleosides. All nucleosides were characterized with respect to their absorption and photochromic properties. Based on these results, the most

Multi-Axis Motion Control Based on Time-Varying Norm Optimal Cross-Coupled Iterative Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In the process of multi-axis contour tracking control, the traditional time-invariant method could lead to a significant error in contour tracking due to the existence of two different motion conditions, namely single-axis independent motion and multi ...

Photo- and electroproduction of the K^0Lambda near threshold and effects of the K^0 electromagnetic form factor

open access: yes, 2011
By extending our previous isobar model to the K^0Lambda isospin channel we investigate the properties of the K^0Lambda photo- and electroproduction at energies near threshold.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Ka-Band Surface-Mount Cross-Coupled SIW Filter With Multi-Layered Microstrip-to-GCPW Transition

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper presents the design of a Ka-band cross-coupled substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) bandpass filter using a newly proposed cross-coupling structure.

Convergent cross sorting for estimating dynamic coupling

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Natural systems exhibit diverse behavior generated by complex interactions between their constituent parts. To characterize these interactions, we introduce Convergent Cross Sorting (CCS), a novel algorithm based on convergent cross mapping (CCM) for ...
