Optimal Financing Schemes for E-Commerce Closed-Loop Supply Chains with Quality Uncertainty: Balancing Profitability and Environmental Impact

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research
The rise of the circular economy and e-commerce has led to the emergence of e-commerce closed-loop supply chains (ECLSCs). In practice, investing in process innovation (PI) is key to improving profitability and competitiveness.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Cross-flow differential migration classifier [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A method, system, apparatus, and article of manufacture provide a cross-flow migration classifier capable of separating particles. The classifier provides a channel through which a sample, having one or more particles, passes in a first direction ...

Cross-Flow Microfiltration of Bacillus Subtilis Broths under Various Culture Time

open access: yes, 2014
Bacillus subtilis broths under different culture times are filtered in a cross-flow microfilter. The operating condition effects, such as cross-flow velocity, transmembrane pressure, and broth culture time, on the filtration flux, cake properties, and ...

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

The effect of aspect ratio on solvent extraction in cross-flow parallel-plate membrane modules

open access: yes, 2009
The relationship between the aspect ratio (plate length L/plate width w) and the performance of membrane extraction systems in cross-flow parallel-plate membrane modules for a given set of operating conditions and system variables, has been delineated ...

Cross-Linker Control of Vitrimer Flow

open access: yesPolymer Chemistry, 2019
Vitrimers are a class of covalent adaptable networks (CANs) that undergo topology reconfiguration via associative exchange reactions, enabling reprocessing at elevated temperatures. Here, we show that the use of an associative mechanism additionally enables decoupling of stiffness and stress relaxation.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
