The third cohomology group classifies crossed module extensions

open access: yes, 2009
We give an elementary proof of the well-known fact that the third cohomology group H 3 (G, M ) of a group G with coefficients in an abelian G-module M is in bijection to the set Ext 2 (G, M ) of equivalence classes of crossed module extensions of G with ...

Unique circulating miRNAome signatures captured with distinct molecular states in Lynch syndrome and sporadic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNA profiles distinguish nonmalignant Lynch syndrome from cancer‐associated Lynch syndrome, sporadic colorectal cancer, and healthy controls. Age‐stratified analysis reveals disease‐specific regulatory states, and a six‐miRNA panel shows concordant separation in an independent colorectal tissue cohort.

Development, validation, and comparative evaluation of an immersive virtual reality for MRI patient preparation training in radiologic technology education

open access: yesComputers & Education: X Reality
Traditional radiologic technology education primarily relies on lecture-based methods and provides limited hands-on opportunities due to equipment shortages, patient-safety concerns, and limited instructor availability.

Versatile vector tools for efficient protein screening across multiple expression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A unified vector toolkit enables rapid protein expression screening across E. coli, insect, and mammalian cells. A single primer pair amplifies the target gene, which is inserted into any vector via a standardized interface. This streamlined workflow eliminates repeated cloning steps, accelerating the identification of optimal expression conditions for

Exploring the influence of lactoferrin on wound healing and related signaling pathways: a systematic review

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Lactoferrin promotes wound healing by activating MAPK, PI3K/Akt, and extracellular matrix pathways, enhancing fibroblast remodeling, proliferation, and re‐epithelialization. These mechanisms highlight its therapeutic potential in inflammation control, tissue repair, and remodeling.

Crossed squares and 2-crossed modules

open access: yes, 2002
Crossed squares and 2-crossed modules are both algebraic models for 3-types. This paper explores the interrelationships between these two models.

KDAC6 alters cell morphology and motility through positive and negative modulation of F‐actin distribution

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KDAC6 has been associated with cell motility and actin structures, but specific domain contributions are not established. The two catalytic domains have differential effects on motility and F‐actin regulation, affecting cortical F‐actin density, motility, stress fibers, and cell spreading.
