Heterosis studies for agronomic trait under different environmental conditions in sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2015
An investigation was carried out to study extent of heterosis under four different environments for yield and its component traits in sesame. Diallel mating design excluding reciprocals was used to develop 28 F1 crosses from eight parents.

GRFT – Genetic records family tree web applet

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2011
Current software for storing and displaying records of genetic crosses does not provide an easy way to determine the lineage of an individual. The genetic records family tree (GRFT) applet processes records of genetic crosses and allows researchers to ...

DELP Treatment on Vision and Retinal Microcirculation in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke: Report of Five Cases and Literature Review

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The delipid extracorporeal lipoprotein filter from plasma (DELP) treatment can effectively reduce blood lipid, increase blood flow, and improve neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its effect on vision and retinal microcirculation in stroke patients has never been reported.

Determination of pollen viability and germination in banana (Musa acuminata) diploids under humid tropical conditions

open access: yesReproduction and Breeding
Genetic improvement of banana (Musa acuminata) is essential to overcome the challenges that limit its sustainable production, including critical diseases such as Fusarium tropical race 4 (Foc TR4) and Black Sigatoka caused by Pseudocercospora fijiensis ...

GENETIC DIFFERENTIATION OF COTTON CULTIVARS BY POLYACRYLAMIDE GEL ELECTROPHORESIS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Central European Agriculture, 2005
Information about genetic diversity and relationships among the breeding materials has a signifi cant impact on crop improvement. Association between parental divergence and progeny performance has not been well documented in cotton.

A Comparative Study of Cerebral Oxygenation During Exercise in Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild
