Crosstalk in multi-output CCDs for LSST

open access: yes, 2015
LSST's compact, low power focal plane will be subject to electronic crosstalk with some unique signatures due to its readout geometry. This note describes the crosstalk mechanisms, ongoing characterization of prototypes, and implications for the ...

Crosstalk Statistics via Collocation Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A probabilistic model for the evaluation of transmission lines crosstalk is proposed. The geometrical parameters are assumed to be unknown and the exact solution is decomposed into two functions, one depending solely on the random parameters and the ...

Spinal-cardiac crosstalk [PDF]

open access: yesIntensive Care Medicine, 2020
In the context of multiple drug intoxication (alprazolam, tramadol and alcohol), a 43-year-old female was admitted to our ICU for hypotension, alteration of consciousness and C4-level tetraplegia. She was found unconscious with her neck in prolonged hyperflexion (90°) for at least 12-h. Oro-tracheal intubation was performed for respiratory failure.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Low-crosstalk bifurcation detectors for coupled flux qubits

open access: yes, 2010
We present experimental results on the crosstalk between two AC-operated dispersive bifurcation detectors, implemented in a circuit for high-fidelity readout of two strongly coupled flux qubits. Both phase-dependent and phase-independent contributions to

Performance of Modal Signaling vs. medium dielectric variability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper addresses the feasibility of the so-called Modal Signaling (MS) transmission scheme from a stochastic viewpoint. MS has been proposed for crosstalk mitigation over interconnects and is based on the encoding of signals onto fundamental ...

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Integrative phenotyping analyses reveal the relevance of the phyB-PIF4 pathway in Arabidopsis thaliana reproductive organs at high ambient temperature

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Background The increasing ambient temperature significantly impacts plant growth, development, and reproduction. Uncovering the temperature-regulating mechanisms in plants is of high importance, for increasing our fundamental understanding of plant ...

Super Multi-View Near-Eye Display Using Pinhole Arrays of Timing-Polarizing Characteristics

open access: yesIEEE Access
Among the various indicators of near-eye display devices, a compact form factor is crucial for the viewing experience of users but also a difficult goal to achieve.
