Organomagnesium Crown Ethers and Their Binding Affinities with Li+, Na+, K+, Be2+, Mg2+, and Ca2+ Ions - a Theoretical Study [PDF]
Novel organomagnesium crown ether molecules have been computationally characterized for the first time using density functional theory (DFT). Monomer units of MgC6 have been used as building blocks. The potential energy surface of the parent elemental

Periodic Trends in Actinyl Thio-Crown Ether Complexes [PDF]
In-cavity complexes and their bonding features between thio-crown (TC) ethers and f-elements are unexplored so far. In this paper, actinyl(VI) (An = U, Np, Pu, Am, and Cm) complexes of TC ethers have been characterized using relativistic density functional theory.

The Preparatory (Anti)Bonding Character of Molecular Orbitals
Herein, a concept to qualitatively predict changes in bond dissociation energies upon reduction or oxidation of molecular compounds is introduced. Changing the population of so‐called preparatory molecular orbitals influences how molecular fragments are relaxing after bond cleavage, which is shown for isolated organometallic aluminum compounds as well ...

Pyrochlore‐derived Bi–Sn interfaces enable selective CO2 electroreduction to HCOOH in strongly acidic media (pH = 1). Interfacial electronic coupling promotes *OCHO formation while suppressing hydrogen evolution. Cryptand‐driven cation regulation enriches interfacial K+, maintaining high HCOOH faradaic efficiency of 94% even at low K+ electrolyte ...

Complexation of Hydronium Ion with Several Crown Ethers in Nitromethane Solution [PDF]
The interaction between hydronium ion and several crown ethers was studied via conductometry in nitromethane at 25 °C and 1H-NMR techniques. The stabilities of the resulting 1:1 complexes were determined from the conductance data and found to vary in the
