Dithiolene complexes as metallo-ligands: a crown-ether approach [PDF]

open access: yesNew J. Chem., 2012
A nickel dithiolene complex substituted with crown ether cyclic moieties incorporating four O atoms, abbreviated as [Ni(S2O4)2]1−,0, is isolated in its radical anionic (as Na+ salt) and neutral forms. The Na+ cation is six-coordinated with short Na⋯O distances (2.46–2.52 A), involving two crown ether moieties of two different complexes.

Ether‐Based Electrolytes and the Solvation Structure in Sodium Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Ether electrolytes enable high‐performance sodium‐ion batteries through their unique physicochemical properties, particularly distinctive solvation structures and co‐intercalation behavior. However, the localized solvation structure and its dynamic evolution during electrochemical processes remain a “black box”.

Host-Guest Complexes of crown-ethers with HN-Proton Donr Molecules

open access: yes, 2011
Crown ethers were reacted with HN-proton-donor molecules to obtain crystalline molecular host-guest complexes. It was found that complexes with crown ethers of different structure are formed, depending on the linear dimensions and mode of steric ...

Graphite Co‐Intercalation Chemistry in Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2025.
Traditional intercalation chemistry in lithium‐ion batteries cannot allow sodium storage in graphite. The co‐intercalation chemistry changes the situation. It enables reversible and ultrafast sodium storage in graphite. Revisiting challenges and summarizing recent advances are of significant importance to exploit the full potential of graphite in ...

Precursor-solvent coordination control for defect suppression in perovskite light-emitting diodes

open access: yesNano Research Energy
Defect formation in perovskite nanograins in the polycrystalline films is governed by the solution-state coordination chemistry of halide perovskite precursor species, which have been employed to form less-defective films with large grains in solar cells.
