An otherwise healthy 19-year-old pregnant woman developed crusted scabies. She and her husband had previously been treated for scabies. In spite of appropriate treatment both suffered several relapses, and later their infant was also affected. Ultimately, the infection was eradicated.

We describe a case of a 67-year-old woman with a 1-year history of nail thickening and a non-itchy erythematous scaly eruption on the fingertips. She was diagnosed with psoriasis and started on methotrexate after having had no response to topical calcipotriol.

An 80-year-old man with persistent hyperkeratotic foot lesions was diagnosed with localized crusted scabies after misdiagnosis as a fungal infection or psoriasis. Dermoscopy and microscopy confirmed Sarcoptes scabiei infestation. Treatment with oral ivermectin and topical applications of lindane lotion and salicylic acid ointment was successful.

• A case of crusted (Norwegian) scabies is reported in a child who was a recipient of a bone marrow transplant. The infestation is presumed to have predated the bone marrow transplant and continued asymptomatically during chemotherapy and total body x-irradiation in preparation for transplant.
