Obesity‐Associated Adiposomes Promote Vascular Smooth Muscle Cell Hypercontractility

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 15, Issue 5, October 2025.
Ceramide‐rich adiposomes released from dysfunctional adipose tissue in obesity mediate adipose–vascular crosstalk. These vesicles promote ROS generation, disrupt KATP channel activity, and dysregulate Ca2+ signaling, leading to vascular smooth muscle hypercontractility and vascular dysfunction.

Umbilical cord blood‐derived cytotoxic T lymphocytes target melanoma via HLA‐A2‐restricted tumour antigens

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Cord blood can be used as a cell bank for endogenous T‐cell therapy to treat melanoma patients. Compared with antigen‐specific T cells derived from peripheral blood, the main cell subsets of antigen‐specific T cells derived from umbilical cord blood are divided into memory effector cells, which may have a more durable anti‐tumour effect. In this study,

Generation of Knock‐In Syrian Hamsters via Zygote Microinjection Using CRISPR/Cas9 Genome Editing

open access: yesgenesis, Volume 63, Issue 5, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Syrian hamsters (Mesocricetus auratus) have long served as valuable model organisms in diverse research fields such as oncology, immunology, and physiology owing to their unique biological and pathological characteristics. Although embryo manipulation techniques such as embryo collection, pronuclear microinjection, and embryo transfer have ...

Seasonal Differences in Effects of Microbial Communities on Duckweed Traits

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
The microbes living on larger host organisms can have dramatic impacts on their traits. These microbiomes often shift across seasons, mirroring phenological changes in their hosts' phenotypes. In a microbiome‐manipulation experiment, we found that microbes collected during the summer affected duckweed phenotypes differently than microbes collected in ...
