PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Structural and electrical properties of Ca0.9Dy0.1MnO3 prepared by sol-gel technique.
In the present study, we have discussed about the synthesis of Ca0.9Dy0.1MnO3 by using citric acid as a chelating agent. Structural and morphological studies were carried out by using XRD, FT-IR, FE-SEM equipped with EDX for the synthesized material ...

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Crystal structure of catena-poly[[cadmium(II)-di-μ2-bromido-μ2-l-proline-κ2O:O′] monohydrate]
In the title coordination polymer, {[CdBr2(C5H9NO2)]·H2O}n, the CdII ion is coordinated by four bromido ligands and two carboxylate oxygen atoms of two symmetry-related proline ligands, which exist in a zwitterionic form, in a distorted octahedral ...

How crystals that sense and respond to their environments could evolve [PDF]
An enduring mystery in biology is how a physical entity simple enough to have arisen spontaneously could have evolved into the complex life seen on Earth today.

Superconductivity and single crystal growth of Ni0:05TaS2
Superconductivity was discovered in a Ni0:05TaS2 single crystal. A Ni0:05TaS2 single crystal was successfully grown via the NaCl/KCl flux method. The obtained lattice constant c of Ni0:05TaS2 is 1.1999 nm, which is significantly smaller than that of 2H ...

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Fabrication and Optical Properties of 2at.%Yb:LuYAG Mixed Crystal through Nanocrystalline Powders
Ytterbium doped Lu1.5Y1.5Al5O12 (LuYAG) nanocrystalline powders were synthesized by a wet chemical mixed precipitant co-precipitation (MPP) method, and then the mixed crystal of Yb:LuYAG was grown in an optical floating zone (OFZ) furnace at the speed of

Electromigration process for the purification of molten silicon during crystal growth [PDF]
A process for the purification of molten materials during crystal growth by electromigration of impurities to localized dirty zones. In the Czochralski crystal growing process, the impurities are electromigrated away from the crystallization interface by
