Explosive crystallization mechanism of ultradisperse amorphous films [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The explosive crystallization of germanium ultradisperse amorphous films is studied experimentally. We show that crystallization may be initiated by local heating at the small film thickness but it realizes spontaneously at the large ones.

High-quality bulk hybrid perovskite single crystals within minutes by inverse temperature crystallization

open access: yesNature Communications, 2015
Single crystals of methylammonium lead trihalide perovskites (MAPbX3; MA=CH3NH3+, X=Br− or I−) have shown remarkably low trap density and charge transport properties; however, growth of such high-quality semiconductors is a time-consuming process.

Effect of Batchelor Flow on Polymorphic Crystallization in a Rotating Disk Crystallizer

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
In this work, the influence of Batchelor flow on the polymorphic crystallization in a rotating disk (RD) crystallizer was investigated. By regulating crystallization parameters, i.e., the rotation speed, cooling rate, and ethanol fraction, we found that ...

Confined Crystallization of Pigment Red 146 in Emulsion Droplets and Its Mechanism

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
In this work, the effect of confined space on crystallization processes of pigments was investigated by using C.I. Pigment Red 146 (PR 146) as a model compound. The colloidal system (i.e., emulsion droplets) was used as a nanoreactor to prepare nanoscale

History dependent crystallization of Zr41Ti14Cu12Ni10Be23 melts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The crystallization of Zr41Ti14Cu12Ni10Be23 (Vit 1) melts during constant heating is investigated. (Vit 1) melts are cooled with different rates into the amorphous state and the crystallization temperature upon subsequent heating is studied. In addition,
