Kinetic Theory of Crystallization
physica status solidi (a), 1982A phenomenological approach is proposed to describe the variation with time of temperature and the amount of substance crystallized from the melt due to nucleation and nuclei growth. It is shown that depending on the heat withdrawal rate the set of relations for these values describes the main forms of transition from the liquid to the solid state ...

Crystallization kinetics of homopolymers: overall crystallization: a review
Biophysical Chemistry, 2004This paper is a brief review of the overall crystallization kinetics of synthetic homopolymers. The basic experimental results are presented and compared with theory that is currently available. It is found, surprisingly, that the more sophisticated theories do no better in explaining experimental results than does the free-growth approximation.

Crystallization kinetics of pentaerythritol
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1996A framework is proposed for the modelling of the crystallization kinetics of pentaerythritol in a suspension crystallizer. The main kinetic processes that are considered are those of crystal growth, attrition and secondary nucleation.

The kinetics of crystallization of hopeite
Journal of Crystal Growth, 1984Abstract The kinetics of crystallization of α-trizinc phosphate tetrahydrate (hopeite) has been investigated over a range of supersaturation under conditions of constant solution composition. Following inoculation of supersaturated solutions with well characterized seed crystals, the activities of ion species in the supersaturated solutions were ...

Kinetics of Crystallization. III
Zeitschrift für Elektrochemie, Berichte der Bunsengesellschaft für physikalische Chemie, 1957AbstractThe rates of nucleation of crystalline cyclonite have been determined in aqueous acetone. The variations of the rate with supersaturation, solvent composition and temperature have been obtained. The results are discussed in relation to the Volmer theory.

Kinetics of butterfat crystallization
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1992Fractionation of butterfat by melt crystallization is a commercial process in many countries for making butter fractions with varying melting, textural and flavor properties for use as food ingredients. However, the crystallization phenomena in this complex system are poorly understood and difficult to optimize and control.

The Kinetics of Crystal Growth
Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English, 1966AbstractThe fundamentals of the theory of crystal growth comprise the two concepts of growth via two‐dimensional nuclei and growth with the aid of dislocations. Measurements of the relationship between rate of growth and supersaturation are particularly suitable for testing theoretical predictions. Experimental results are compared with predictions for
