Kinetics of triboluminescence in crystals
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1977On the basis of the condition of instability of cracks in a stressed body it is reported that the kinetics of triboluminescence in a crystal at a strain rate r can be expressed by the relation I=I0r2t2 exp(-t/ tau )-C1, where C1 is a constant. The value of the mechanical relaxation time tau of sugar crystals has been determined from triboluminescence ...

Kinetics of zeolite A crystallization
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1968Abstract Conversion of aqueous sodium aluminosilicate gels to zeolite. A was measured by means of sorption. Effects of SiO 2 Al 2 O 2 in the starting gel, caustic concentration, and stirring rate were studied. At excess silica, the gels were found to be unsuitable for kinetics studies because they tended to produce an amorphous

The kinetics of sucrose crystallization
1968This study has been undertaken for two main purposes:- (1)To obtain factual information concerning the rate of growth of sucrose crystals; and (2)To secure some understanding of the operating mechanism of factors influencing crystal growth. Chapter 3 records details of the experimental method used and data gathered for actual growth rates.

Crystallization kinetics of polycapramide
Journal of Polymer Science, 1961AbstractThe kinetics of the isothermal crystallization of polycapramide (nylon 6) is discussed. Temperature changes in specimens during the course of crystallization are measured. For specimens at 200–210°C., the temperature is 2–3°C. higher than that of the crystallization bath.
