Atroposelective Arene‐Forming Alkene Metathesis**
The feasibility of alkene metathesis to catalytically control stereogenic axes by traceless arene formation is reported. Key to the process is a selective conversion of stereodynamic trienes by a chiral molybdenum catalyst, providing configurationally‐stable atropisomers under mild conditions in excellent yields with up to 98 : 2 e.r.

The dynamic polarization reversal of coexisting normal and relaxor ferroelectrics in 1D TMAPbI₃ (tetramethylammonium, TMA) is deciphered through combined experimental and theoretical approaches. By bridging atomic‐scale motion, macroscopic polarization switching, and depolarization effects, a universal methodology is established to engineer next ...

Rapid and Scalable Halosulfonylation of Strain‐Release Reagents**
A one‐pot halosulfonylation of strained hydrocarbons is described that proceeds under practical, scalable and mild conditions. Sulfonyl halides featuring aryl, heteroaryl and alkyl substituents are generated in situ from sulfinate salts and convenient halogen atom sources. This chemistry enables the synthesis of an array of halogen/sulfonyl‐substituted

Solid state NMR and X-ray diffraction studies of α-d-galacturonic acid monohydrate [PDF]
Crystalline a-d-galacturonic acid monohydrate has been studied by 13C CPMAS NMR and X-ray crystallography. The molecular dynamics were investigated by evaluating 13C spin-lattice relaxation in the rotating frame (T1?) and chemical-shift-anisotropy ...

A convolutional neural network-based screening tool for X-ray serial crystallography
Deep learning provides one possible avenue to reduce the data stream generated by serial macromolecular X-ray crystallography. Convolutional neural networks can be trained to recognize the presence or absence of Bragg spots, forming a criterion to veto ...

“Writing” Crystal Phases in Amorphous Calcium Carbonate via Laser‐Induced Patterned Transformations
Laser‐induced crystallization enabling the patterning of amorphous calcium carbonate into various distinct phases is introduced. This approach provides spatial control over polymorph selection, both crystalline and amorphous, inspired by biomineralization pathways.

This work comprehensively studies the mechanistic behaviour of cobalt‐free Li1.2Ni0.2Mn0.6O2 and demonstrates the positive impact of two‐phase Ru doping on voltage decay using the combination of in operando and post‐mortem synchrotron analyses. A mechanistic transition from a C2/c phase to a R m phase is reported for the first time.

A8Tl11 (A = alkali metal) compounds have been known since the investigations of Corbett et al. in 1995 and are still a matter of current discussions as the compound includes one extra electron referred to the charge of the Tl117− cluster.

Serial Electron Diffraction Data Processing with diffractem and CrystFEL [PDF]
Serial electron diffraction (SerialED) is an emerging technique, which applies the snapshot data-collection mode of serial X-ray crystallography to three-dimensional electron diffraction (3D ED), forgoing the conventional rotation method. Similarly to serial X-ray crystallography, this approach leads to almost complete absence of radiation damage ...
