Validation of the Crystallography Open Database using the Crystallographic Information Framework
Data curation practices of the Crystallography Open Database are described with greater focus being placed on the cif_validate program, capable of validating crystallographic information files against both DDL1 and DDLm dictionaries.

Crystallography on a chip [PDF]
A new chip-based crystal-mounting approach for rapid room-temperature data collection from numerous crystals is described. This work was motivated by the recent development of X-ray free-electron lasers. These novel sources deliver very intense femtosecond X-ray pulses that promise to yield high-resolution diffraction data of nanocrystals before their ...

Pressure Induced Spin Crossover and Magnetic Properties of Multiferroic Ba3NbFe3Si2O14
Recently, the iron containing langasite-type crystal Ba3NbFe3Si2O14 has attracted great attention as a new magnetically induced multiferroic. In this work, magnetic, structural and electronic properties of the multiferroic Ba3NbFe3Si2O14 were ...

Comparing serial X-ray crystallography and microcrystal electron diffraction (MicroED) as methods for routine structure determination from small macromolecular crystals. [PDF]
Innovative new crystallographic methods are facilitating structural studies from ever smaller crystals of biological macromolecules. In particular, serial X-ray crystallography and microcrystal electron diffraction (MicroED) have emerged as useful ...

Generalized crystallography [PDF]
X-ray crystal structure analysis can now be seen as a special kind of microscopy which is being extended to the recognition and examination of many kinds of ordered structure more general than crystals and which leads to their synthesis or construction ...
