Wnt3a Downregulation Contributes to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus by Impairing Pancreatic β‐Cell Function
Wnt3a downregulation is associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in clinical patients and high‐fat diet (HFD)‐induced mouse models. In MIN6 pancreatic β‐cells, knockdown of Wnt3a impairs insulin secretion and β‐cell function under insulin‐resistant conditions, while recombinant Wnt3a treatment rescues these defects.
