Extraction of Acoustic Features via Empirical Wavelet Transform to Determine Stenosis Degree of the Left Anterior Descending Artery Based on the Diastolic Heart Sounds of 75 Participants

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 3, May 2026.
This study proposes a non‐invasive approach for coronary artery disease (CAD) screening by analyzing diastolic heart sounds using an Empirical Wavelet Transform (EWT). Spectral energies e(2) and e(3) were identified as sensitive indicators of left anterior descending artery (LAD) stenosis severity.
