From One Strand Dyed/Undyed Hair With/Without Root to Fast and Successful STR Profiling and Evaluation With Principle Component Analysis

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fallen/shed single hair shafts with/without roots can be encountered as evidence in crime scenes. Identification from hair exhibits serious difficulties, due to the low amount of DNA, PCR inhibitors, and the existence of DNA mostly in degraded forms. Exposure of hair to chemical oxidation, sunlight, etc.

Determination of Critical Micelle Concentration of Ionic and Non‐Ionic Surfactants by Streaming Potential Measurements

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A capillary electrophoresis system capable of measuring streaming potentials was used for the determination of critical micelle concentration (CMC) of anionic, cationic, zwitterionic and non‐ionic surfactants. The CMC values of anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS), cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB ...

Impact of Support Type on Nickel‐Based Catalysts for the Dry Reforming of Methane

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the catalytic efficiency of Ni catalysts for the dry reforming of methane, utilizing different metal oxides (CeO₂, SiO₂, SmO₃, and YO₃) support. The impact of the support material on the conversion of CH₄ and CO₂, as well as the resulting H₂/CO ratio, is investigated at 700°C and 800°C.
