Frequency of ZFHX3‐Mediated Spinocerebellar Ataxia 4 in a US Undiagnosed Ataxia Cohort

Abstract Background Spinocerebellar ataxia 4 (SCA4) is a late‐onset dominant ataxia with neuropathy caused by exonic GGC repeat expansion in the ZFHX3 gene thought to originate from a Swedish founder event. The GC‐rich expansion is highly thermodynamically stable, posing challenges for standard clinical genetic testing methods.

Balancing Chain Transfer Agent Transport and Reaction in Emulsion Polymerization

The interrelationship between chain transfer agent mass transfer and reaction in emulsion polymerization is examined. Three parameters describing these phenomena are proposed. The probability of mass transfer‐ rather than reaction‐limitation for each CTA‐monomer pair is assessed.

Abstract Compression field approaches such as the Cracked Membrane Model with fixed, interlocked cracks (CMM‐F) are efficient tools for the mechanical modeling of reinforced concrete elements, providing the mechanical model σ=fε$$ \boldsymbol{\upsigma} =f\left(\boldsymbol{\upvarepsilon} \right) $$ required for finite element analyses.
