One-step fabrication for Mg-doped Cu2ZnSnS4 thin film via a facile ion-solution spraying approach

open access: yesAIP Advances
In this study, Mg-doped Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films were prepared by the ionic solution spraying method, which is simple, low cost, and low temperature. The samples were annealed at the optimal doping level.

Self-regulation mechanism for charged point defects in hybrid halide perovskites

open access: yes, 2014
Hybrid halide perovskites such as methylammonium lead iodide (CH3NH3PbI3) exhibit unusually low free carrier concentrations despite being processed at low-temperatures from solution.

Radiative recombination in Cu2ZnSnSe4 thin films with Cu deficiency and Zn excess [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Thin films of Cu2ZnSnSe4 (CZTSe) with copper de ficiency and zinc excess were fabricated at Northumbria University by the selenisation of metallic precursors deposited on Mo/glass and bare glass substrates.

Spectroscopic ellipsometry study of Cu2ZnSnS4 bulk poly-crystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The linear optical properties of Cu2ZnSnS4 bulk poly-crystals have been investigated using spectroscopic ellipsometry in the range of 1.2-4.6 eV at room temperature. The characteristic features identified in the optical spectra are explained by using the

“Green” Aqueous Synthesis, Structural, and Optical Properties of Quaternary Cu2ZnSnS4 and Cu2NiSnS4 Nanocrystals

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), Volume 262, Issue 10, October 2025.
Novel Cu–Ni–Sn–S nanocrystals (NCs) stabilized with thioglycolic acid are synthesized in aqueous solutions. The structural and optical properties of Cu–Ni–Sn–S NCs are examined in colloidal solutions and thin films and compared to those of Cu–Zn–Sn–S NCs. The absorption coefficient is α > 104 cm−1 at 400 nm with an estimated Eg≈2.2 eV.
