Associations Between Metabolic Phenotypes and Cardiovascular Outcomes in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesMedComm – Future Medicine, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
Among 23,882 PCI patients, metabolic phenotypes were classified as MHN, MHO, MUN, and MUO. During the 3‐year follow‐up, MUN was independently associated with higher cardiovascular risk compared with MHN (HR 1.27, 95% CI 1.07–1.52), mainly driven by MI and stroke. Metabolic phenotype stratification may improve risk assessment after PCI. ABSTRACT Obesity

Reducing Motion Artifact in High Resolution 7 T MRI Using the Magnetic Resonance Minimal Motion (“MR‐MinMo”) Head Stabilization Device

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1486-1501, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To evaluate the effectiveness of the MR‐MinMo head stabilization device in mitigating motion artifacts during long‐duration, high‐resolution 7 T MRI scans, with and without retrospective motion correction Methods The MR‐MinMo was tested on seven pediatric and 12 adult healthy volunteers using 0.6 mm isotropic, 3D Multi‐Echo Gradient ...

Sequence‐encoded determinants drive distinct early aggregation pathways and different structural outcomes in PNT1 fibrils across Henipavirus members

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Protein aggregation is increasingly recognized as a biologically relevant process in viral proteins, yet the molecular determinants governing such phenomena remain poorly understood. Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) are ubiquitous in viral proteomes, where conformational plasticity not only enables functional diversity but also permits

R3Net: Recursive Residual Refinement Network Architecture for Decoder‐Free Medical Image Segmentation

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, Volume 10, Issue 3, Page 319-332, September 2026.
We propose R3Net, a decoder‐free medical image segmentation framework that recursively refines multiscale representations within the encoder using residual pathways. R3Net achieves competitive accuracy with reduced model complexity and improved computational efficiency across multiple medical imaging modalities.

Halide‐Gradient Sidewall Heterojunctions for Lateral Charge Confinement in Perovskite Single Crystal x‐ray Detectors

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 10, Issue 18, 23 September 2026.
Halide‐gradient MAPbBr3−xClx/MAPbBr3 sidewalls are formed by solution‐driven MACl ion exchange in MAPbBr3 single crystals. The graded lateral heterojunction confines charge carriers in the bulk, suppresses side‐surface leakage and baseline drift, and eliminates transient undershoot.
