The diet of cubomedusae (cnidaria, cubozoa) in southern Brazil [PDF]
The diet of cubomedusae Tamoya haplonema Müller, 1859 (Carybdeidae) and Chiropsalmus quadrumanus (Müller, 1859) (Chirodropidae) was examined in specimens collected on the Southern Brazilian coast (25º20' - 25º55'S; 48º10' - 48º35'W), between December ...

Evolution of box jellyfish (Cnidaria: Cubozoa), a group of highly toxic invertebrates [PDF]
Cubozoa (Cnidaria: Medusozoa) represents a small clade of approximately 50 described species, some of which cause serious human envenomations. Our understanding of the evolutionary history of Cubozoa has been limited by the lack of a sound phylogenetic hypothesis for the group.

Biology, ecology and ecophysiology of the box jellyfish Carybdea marsupialis (Cnidaria: Cubozoa) = Biologia, ecologia i ecofisiologia de la cubomedusa Carybdea marsupialis (Cnidaria: Cubozoa) [PDF]
Over the last years, the sightings of the cubomedusa Carybdea marsupialis have increased in the Mediterranean Sea and this has been linked to an increase in its abundance. Consequently, this phD thesis addresses some questions regarding the possible causes and effects of this phenomenon.

Pupillary response to light in three species of Cubozoa (box jellyfish)
Pupillary response under varying conditions of bright light and darkness was compared in three species of Cubozoa with differing ecologies. Maximal and minimal pupil area in relation to total eye area was measured and the rate of change recorded. In Carukia barnesi, the rate of pupil constriction was faster and final constriction greater than in ...

Mitochondrial genome comparison reveals the evolution of cnidarians. [PDF]
First of all, we used mt‐genomes as many as possible published before to analyze the evolutionary relationship. Secondly, more recent studies based on mitochondrial whole‐genome sequences have suggested that Anthozoa are polyphyletic, with the subclasses Octocorallia being a sister group with Medusozoa.
