Enhancing motion cueing using an optimisation technique
Virtual engineering tools are not currently employed extensively during the certification and commissioning of flight simulator motion systems. Subjective opinion is regarded as sufficient for most applications, as it provides verification that the ...

The multifaceted roles of lysosomes in cancer
Lysosomes support cancer cell adaptation by integrating macromolecule degradation and nutrient recycling with nutrient sensing, inter‐organelle communication and immune regulation. These interconnected functions can promote tumour growth, stress tolerance and therapy resistance, while also creating context‐dependent vulnerabilities that may be ...

Look where I look! Real time Eye Movement Modeling Examples in the Classroom
Classrooms are becoming increasingly digital. One novel digital technology that might enter classrooms soon is eye tracking. This is a method to estimate a person’s gaze direction and infer the point of visual attention.

Attitudes of cancer patients toward ctDNA‐based liquid biopsy for follow‐up
This mixed‐methods study explored cancer patients' experiences, knowledge, and preferences regarding ctDNA‐based liquid biopsy for follow‐up. Awareness of ctDNA was low and recall of previous liquid biopsy was imperfect, yet acceptance was high.

Vascular normalization confers an endothelial immune suppressive gene expression profile
We compare the immunoregulatory gene expression profiles of healthy endothelial cells or endothelial cells from tumors having a normalized endothelium (low leakage) with that of wild‐type tumors (high leakage) and observe that the wild‐type tumor endothelium exhibits immunostimulatory properties.

Visuo-spatial cueing in children with differential reading and spelling profiles. [PDF]
Dyslexia has been claimed to be causally related to deficits in visuo-spatial attention. In particular, inefficient shifting of visual attention during spatial cueing paradigms is assumed to be associated with problems in graphemic parsing during ...

10 Hz rhythmic stimulation modulates electrophysiological, but not behavioral markers of suppression
We investigated the role of alpha in the suppression of attention capture by salient but to-be-suppressed (negative and nonpredictive) color cues, expecting a potential boosting effect of alpha-rhythmic entrainment on feature-specific cue suppression. We

Pathways and pitfalls: a qualitative study of student experiences in biomedical science education
Biomedical science students from underrepresented backgrounds face barriers including financial strain, disrupted laboratory access and cultural exclusion. Peer networks provide vital support when institutional systems are difficult to navigate. To create inclusive learning environments and achieve academic success, educators should blend active, hands‐
