Internal model control of cumene process using analytical rules and evolutionary computation [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Industry and Chemical Engineering Quarterly
Cumene is a precursor for producing many organic chemicals and is thinner in paints and lacquers. Its production process involves one of the large-scale manufacturing processes with complex kinetics.

Single‐Cell Reveal GALNT7‐Dependent Ferroptosis Suppression as a Mechanism of Immunotherapy Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 50, 7 September 2026.
Integrated clinical and mechanistic analyses identify GALNT7 as a ferroptosis‐suppressive regulator associated with immunotherapy resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer. GALNT7 depletion promotes lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ferroptosis, enhances CD8+ T‐cell activation and IFN‐γ production, and sensitizes tumors to PD‐1 blockade,

Hydrogenolysis of Guaiacol to Phenol Over Ru‐FeOx Nanoparticles Supported on TiO2

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 340-348, September 2026.
This work demonstrates that the Ru/FeOx–TiO2 catalyst enables selective CAr–OCH3 bond cleavage in water, achieving a phenol selectivity of 81.1% at a 90.4% conversion of guaiacol. The synergy between Ru and FeOx can effectively promote the selective hydrogenolysis of CAr–OCH3 bonds without the obvious hydrogenation of the benzene ring.

Process Optimization of Cumene Production: Energy Efficiency Optimization and Conversion Enhancement through Heat Integration and Recycle Strategies

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Engineering Research Progress
Cumene production via benzene–propylene alkylation is a highly exothermic process that requires effective thermal management. This study aims to optimize energy efficiency and enhance conversion performance in cumene production through the integration of

Individual and Combined Cardioprotective Effects of 1,25(OH)2D3 and Dimethyl Fumarate in an Isoproterenol‐Induced Myocardial Injury Model

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 9, September 2026.
1,25(OH)2D3 and dimethyl fumarate, administered alone or in combination, provide significant cardioprotection against isoproterenol‐induced myocardial injury by reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, and structural damage through modulation of the Nrf2/NF‐κB signaling pathways and the renin–angiotensin system (RAS).

MSI: A Mahalanobis‐Based Molecular Similarity Index for High‐Dimensional Embeddings

open access: yesMolecular Informatics, Volume 45, Issue 9, September 2026.
MSI pairs continuous Mol2Vec embeddings with a covariance‐aware Mahalanobis metric (dM, θM) to overcome the ranking ties and bit‐density bias of Tanimoto fingerprints. Across five reference compounds, MSI resolves more distinct neighbors than ECFP4 + Tanimoto and its geometry tracks HOMO–LUMO gaps in QM9, despite no electronic training.

Design of Cumene Plant using Aspen Plus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The work deals with optimization of the process of production of cumene from benzene by its alkylation with propylene. This process also involves an undesirable reaction between cumene and propylene to form p-diisopropylbenzene (PIDB).

Boosting cumene hydrogen transfer via a Ru-based porphyrin covalent organic framework for tandem air epoxidation of olefins

open access: yesNano Research
Constructing catalysts featuring an ordered structure, stable performance, and uniformly dispersed catalytic sites is vital for the epoxidation of small-molecular olefins. Here, we design catalysts by tracing the oxidation-process origin and synthesize a

Effect of polyunsaturated fatty acids and antioxidants on lipid peroxidation in tissue cultures.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1981
Lipid peroxidation was measured by the thio-barbituric assay for malondialdehyde (MDA). A small amount of MDA was formed when medial cells from guinea pig aorta were grown in tissue culture.
