A quantum model of lasing without inversion

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2022
Starting from a quantum description of multiple Λ-type three-level atoms driven with a coherent microwave field and incoherent optical pumping, we derive a microscopic model of lasing from which we move towards a consistent macroscopic picture.

A Note on Cumulant Technique in Random Matrix Theory

open access: yesEntropy, 2023
We discuss the cumulant approach to spectral properties of large random matrices. In particular, we study in detail the joint cumulants of high traces of large unitary random matrices and prove Gaussian fluctuation for pair-counting statistics with non ...

Higher Order Feature Extraction and Selection for Robust Human Gesture Recognition using CSI of COTS Wi-Fi Devices

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Device-free human gesture recognition (HGR) using commercial off the shelf (COTS) Wi-Fi devices has gained attention with recent advances in wireless technology.

Error estimate in the central limit theorem

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2008
In this paper, we determined, independent identically distributed random variable’s {Xk, k = 1,2,...} centered and normalized sum’s Sn = \sumn k=1 Xk distribution’s Fn(x) = P(Zn < x) exact error estimate in case of the normal approximation with one ...

On large deviations for compound mixed Poisson process

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2013
This paper is designated for normal approximation to the distribution function of the compound mixed Poisson process taking into consideration large deviations both in the Cramér and power Linnik zones.

Cumulative Subtraction Games [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2019
We study a variation of Nim-type subtraction games, called Cumulative Subtraction (CS). Two players alternate in removing pebbles out of a joint pile, and their actions add or remove points to a common score. We prove that the zero-sum outcome in optimal play of a CS with a finite number of possible actions is eventually periodic, with period $2s ...

Cumulants of the QCD topological charge distribution

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2015
The distribution of the QCD topological charge can be described by cumulants, with the lowest one being the topological susceptibility. The vacuum energy density in a θ-vacuum is the generating function for these cumulants.

Binary Cumulants

open access: yesAdvances in Applied Mathematics, 2000
The author considers binary sequences (i.e. having letters from the set \(\{0,1\})\), and defines binary cumulants for joint probability distributions on binary sequences of finite length. Distributions on binary sequences of finite length are related to solve some fundamental mathematical problems (e.g. Hilbert's 17th problem).
