Effect of dephasing on the current statistics of mesoscopic devices [PDF]
We investigate the effects of dephasing on the current statistics of mesoscopic conductors with a recently developed statistical model, focusing in particular on mesoscopic cavities and Aharonov-Bohm rings.

We have studied the effect of limited statistics of data on measurement of the different order of cumulants of net-proton distribution assuming that the proton and antiproton distributions follow Possionian and Binomial distributions with initial ...

The author considers binary sequences (i.e. having letters from the set \(\{0,1\})\), and defines binary cumulants for joint probability distributions on binary sequences of finite length. Distributions on binary sequences of finite length are related to solve some fundamental mathematical problems (e.g. Hilbert's 17th problem).

Optimal estimators in biadditive models and their families
Biadditive regression models are linear models with an additive structure for their covariance matrix. We introduce commutative conditions and derive optimal estimators, namely Best Linear Unbiased Estimators (BLUE) and Best Quadratic Unbiased Estimators

The performance of array‐based power equipment acoustic emission (AE) source directional of arrival (DOA) estimation methods is decided by not only algorithm performance, but also the array hardware parameters, that is, array aperture, sensor number, and

Semiclassical noise beyond the second cumulant
We show how the semiclassical Langevin method can be extended to calculations of higher-than-second cumulants of noise. These cumulants are affected by indirect correlations between the fluctuations, which may be considered as "noise of noise." We ...

Ott-Antonsen ansatz truncation of a circular cumulant series
The cumulant representation is common in classical statistical physics for variables on the real line and the issue of closures of cumulant expansions is well elaborated. The case of phase variables significantly differs from the case of linear ones; the

An OFDM Signal Identification Method for Wireless Communications Systems
Distinction of OFDM signals from single carrier signals is highly important for adaptive receiver algorithms and signal identification applications.

Modelling of continuous low‐temperature emulsion co‐polymerization in 3D‐printed reactor
A kinetic model for the emulsion copolymerization of butyl acrylate/styrene at low temperatures is proposed and validated against experiments with a redox initiator system. The model was successfully transferred to a 3D‐printed tubular reactor and conversions of more than 80% and small particles sizes below 40 nm were observed.

The unusual properties of aggregated superpositions of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck type processes [PDF]
Superpositions of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck type (supOU) processes form a rich class of stationary processes with a flexible dependence structure. The asymptotic behavior of the integrated and partial sum supOU processes can be, however, unusual.
