UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Resolved hyperthyroidism before IVF is not associated with improved cumulative live birth rates: a retrospective cohort study

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundHyperthyroidism adversely impacts female reproduction, yet its association with in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes remains controversial. It remains unknown whether ovarian function recovers upon achieving euthyroidism.

Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.

The combined impact of maternal age and body mass index on cumulative live birth following in vitro fertilization.

open access: yes, 2019
BACKGROUND: It is critical to evaluate the combined impact of age and body mass index on the cumulative likelihood of live birth following in vitro fertilization, as achieving a lower body mass index before infertility treatment often is recommended for ...

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Cumulative live birth rate of advanced-age women more than 40 with or without poor ovarian response

open access: yes, 2019
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate cumulative live birth rate (CLBR) per oocyte retrieval cycle and per patient in women over 40 years old undergoing IVF/ICSI treatments, stratified for age, ovarian response and oocyte retrieval cycle ...

Time-lapse technology improves total cumulative live birth rate and shortens time to live birth as compared to conventional incubation system in couples undergoing ICSI

open access: yes, 2021
International audiencePurpose: The improvement of clinical outcome provided by time-lapse technology (TLT) in IVF over conventional incubation (CI) still remains controversial.
