A comparison of cumulus parameterization techniques
An improved quasi-Lagrangian primitive equation model is used to investigate existing cumulus parameterization schemes. Comparative forty-eight hour forecasts were made utilizing seven different cumulus heating functions, one being zero cumulus latent heat release. Initial data were that of a nondeveloping easterly wave in the Carribbean.

Ceramic‐based V2O5/Fe3O4 hybrid films are shaped into butterfly‐proboscis‐inspired microscroll actuators. Magnetic triggering initiates unrolling, while geometry‐programmed elastic strain energy drives rapid recoil, enabling fast, reversible, durable, and load‐bearing actuation under near‐field magnetic stimulation.

This work establishes Bi2MoO6/rGO heterostructures as a mechanism‐guided platform for high‐performance room‐temperature ethanol gas detection by showing that modest adsorption, in conjunction with dynamic interfacial band modulation, enables rapid charge‐transfer.
