Curcumin, a natural polyphenol, enables a fully bio‐based and metal‐free photocatalytic system for the aerobic oxidation of aryl‐ and alkyl‐methanamines to imines under blue light. Using 2‐methyltetrahydrofuran (2‐MeTHF) as a renewable solvent and molecular oxygen as the sole oxidant, the protocol affords up to 98% yield.

Structural reengineering of curcumin generated derivatives with antioxidant, cytoprotective and glucose‐modulating activities. These compounds improved cellular responses to hyperglycaemic stress in C2C12 myotubes, highlighting their potential as candidates for managing oxidative stress–related metabolic disorders, particularly type 2 diabetes mellitus.

The objective of this review is to identify, summarize, and evaluate clinical trials to determine the efficacy of curcuma in the treatment of osteoarthritis. A literature search for interventional studies assessing efficacy of curcuma was performed, resulting in 8 clinical trials.
