STRENGTH CHARACTERISTICS OF SELF-CURING CONCRETE

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Engineering and Technology, 2012
Today concrete is most widely used construction material due to its good compressive strength and durability. Depending upon the nature of work the cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water are mixed in specific proportions to produce plain concrete.

Determining Parental Factors for Clinical Trial Attrition in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Despite high enrollment rates on Children's Oncology Group (COG) protocols, attrition after initial consent is challenging, introducing bias and prolonging trial completion. While adult oncology literature has identified predictors of withdrawal, little is known about caregiver decision‐making for child participation in ...

Differential chlorophyll and carotenoid degradation underpin poor curing colour of low-quality flue-cured tobacco leaves

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
This study investigates the physiological basis for the inferior curing quality of low-quality flue-cured tobacco leaves. Using ‘Yunyan 300’ tobacco, we compared normal (CK), multi-fertilizer (LH), and reviving (FQ) leaves.

Effects of Curing Time on the Edible Quality and Oxidation Characteristics of Complex Low-sodium Yak Meat

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
In order to investigate the effect of curing time on the edible quality and oxidative characteristics of compound low-sodium yak meat products, in this experiment, complex low-sodium yak meat was selected to investigate the effects of curing time (12, 18,

Time to Diagnosis Among Children and Adolescents With Cancer in Québec, Canada: A Population‐Based Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Timely cancer diagnosis in children and adolescents is important to improving outcomes. We aimed to quantify time to diagnosis and assess variations by patient, demographic and system‐level factors. Procedure We conducted a population‐based study of individuals aged 0–19 years diagnosed with one of 12 cancers from 2010 to 2022 in ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
