Bidirectional current-controlled PTAT current source
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Fundamental Theory and Applications, 1994In this paper a new current-source proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) is introduced. It is adjustable and does not require any starting current. The circuit is obtained from a mixed translinear loop of only four transistors. A first generation current conveyor is added in order to obtain a floating output current.

A current controlled CMOS current amplifier
2017 5th International Symposium on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ISEEE), 2017A new circuit solution for current controlled current amplification is proposed. The basic idea of the circuit is to use a DC current in order to induce an unbalance on the VGS loop of a current mirror. It is demonstrated that the input-output amplification is controlled by a DC current.
