Brownian motors: current fluctuations and rectification efficiency [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2004
With this work we investigate an often neglected aspect of Brownian motor transport: The r\^{o}le of fluctuations of the noise-induced current and its consequences for the efficiency of rectifying noise. In doing so, we consider a Brownian inertial motor

Study of Adaptation Processes in Tribofilms during Friction of Antifriction Aluminum Alloys for Journal Bearings

open access: yesMetals, 2023
This paper provides results on the tribological behavior of experimental Al–Sn–Pb–Si–Cu–Mg–Zn aluminum alloys and describes the adaptation phenomena that reduce wear intensity during friction with steel.

Bonding efficiency and durability: current possibilities [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Oral Research, 2017
Bonding plays a major role in dentistry nowadays. Dental adhesives are used in association with composites to solve many restorative issues. However, the wide variety of bonding agents currently available makes it difficult for clinicians to choose the best alternative in terms of material and technique, especially when different clinical situations ...

Effects of New Additives (Lanolin) on the Electro-Deposition of Copper Powder [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2009
New organic compound (Lanolin) is added to the electrolyte of copperpowder deposition unit. The influences of the copper concentration, currentdensity, and specific surface on the apparent density of the produced powder hadbeen studied.

Efficiency and current in a correlated ratchet [PDF]

open access: yesChaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2004
We present a detailed study of the transport and the efficiency of a ratchet system in a periodic potential in the presence of correlated noises. The current and the efficiency of the system are investigated. It is found that, when the potential is spatially symmetric, the correlation between the two noises can induce a net transport.

Progress on efficient current‐induced magnetization switching [PDF]

open access: yesElectrical Engineering in Japan, 2020
AbstractAs efficient current‐induced magnetization switching schemes, thermally assisted spin transfer torque (STT) switching, spin orbit torque (SOT) switching of rare‐earth transition metal films, and electric‐field–assisted SOT switching were briefly reviewed. For thermally assisted STT switching, hybrid memory layer with a low curie temperature (TC)

Efficiency of current drive by fast waves [PDF]

open access: yesThe Physics of Fluids, 1985
The Rosenbluth form for the collision operator for a weakly relativistic plasma is derived. The formalism adopted by Antonsen and Chu can then be used to calculate the efficiency of current drive by fast waves in a relativistic plasma. Accurate numerical results and analytic asymptotic limits for the efficiencies are given.

Cathodic Deposition of Zinc-Nickel Coatings from a Dilute Ammonium Chloride Electrolyte with a High Glycine Concentration

open access: yesКонденсированные среды и межфазные границы, 2020
This study determined the kinetics of the synthesis, the chemical composition, and morphology of zinc-nickel coatings electrolytically obtained from low-concentration (0.04 М ZnCl2, 0.08 M NiCl2) ammiacate and ammonia-glycinate chloride solutions ...
